After 5 years of meticulous research and development, Stübben has launched the patented EQUI Compress - the first compression stockings for horses!

Unlike humans, horses do not have well-developed calf muscles. Their legs are sinewy near the hooves, which gives them an advantage in their flight behaviour. But the lack of a muscle pump is a disadvantage for the elimination of metabolic products. They are removed by the lymphatic system which transports the metabolic waste back to the heart rather slowly and if the lymphatic system is not fully functional, proteins, for instance, cannot be eliminated which leads to hardening of tissues. In combination with increased periods spent standing, this can lead to impairment of the natural metabolism, injuries are incurred more easily and the regeneration process slows down. Structures such as muscles, ligaments and tendons are more susceptible.

After several years of research, Stübben has developed the EQUI Compress compression stocking to address this issue.
