Description
Flax seeds can be fed to horses all year round. However, they are particularly popular for supplementation during the coat-change phase as the high content of poly-saturated fatty acids has a good influence on coat metabolism.
Golden Yellow Flax Seeds are also suitable for preparing mash and are great during the cold months of the year.
Feeding recommendation:
- Small horses / ponies 30 g
- Large horses 50 g
- Old horses 60-70 g
Preparation:
- NATURE'S BEST Golden Yellow Flax Seeds should be fed in cooked form for quantities of more than 100 g per horse per day. A recipe for mash is included on the product packaging.
- Ensure your horse gets adequate exercise and high-quality roughage and has access to pasture and fresh drinking water at all times.
