Description
A diet rich in vital substances is essential for maintaining an effective metabolism and an intact immune system. Nature provides enough herbs, buds, leaves, bark, moss and grasses for this. Unfortunately, there are fewer and fewer such natural regulatory substances on the horse's menu in our industrialised landscape.
Consequences of deficiency for metabolism ...
Metabolism and the immune system are weakened by such a lack of vital substances and tend to fail. For example, waste products can accumulate in the joints due to a sluggish metabolism, the disposal of undesired aggressive by-products of the metabolism can come to a standstill, so that the tissues are increasingly exposed to such "radical" substances. At the same time, the oxygen and nutrient supply to the inner joint areas threatens to run into deficit.
According to scientific findings, so-called glycoproteins in particular play a major role as stabilisers for the surfaces of tissues at risk of inflammation.
LAMIN supplies specific nutritional components in the form of natural glycoprotein precursors from seaweed.
Lamin has made a name for itself - especially as a part of the Movicur recipe.
... and the immune system ...
A weakening of the immune system can open the door to the horse organism for harmful microorganisms. A weakened immune system often shows incorrect and overreactions. Direct and indirect attacks on the body's own tissue by cells of the immune system are the possible consequences.
... and its effects on the horse
The metabolism-related supply and disposal bottlenecks described can, in conjunction with the immunological regulation problems, lead to irritation, degradation and functional disorders of many body tissues and the associated organs. For example, the joint, spinal column and tendon complex (-> movement disorders), the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract, the gastrointestinal tract, the reproductive organs and the dermis are often affected.
Due to their richness in natural minerals, trace elements, vitamins, amino acids, rare carbohydrates and secondary plant substances, seaweed can have a beneficial influence on many deficiency symptoms in the horse. In particular, they compensate for deficiencies related to metabolism and the immune system.
Brown marine algae with a special nutrient pattern are particularly interesting. The cell walls of this seaweed contain special sugar compounds that are related to the outer layer of mammalian cells. This provides additional nutritional components for the stabilization of tissue surfaces that have been attacked, for example, by immune cells or aggressive metabolic molecules ("radicals"). This also promotes regeneration-promoting oxygen transport in cells and tissue.
Feeding recommendation:
Approx. 30g for large horses per day. Adjust the amount accordingly for smaller horses
