Description
Pronounced, well-defined muscles are a hallmark of the horse's strength, speed and beauty. Strong, resilient muscles are also the basis for good performance in equestrian sport and for a nice riding feeling in leisure time. With a targeted supply of nutrients, healthy muscle formation can be supported.
Muscle building needs nutrients
Every horse can build up well-trained and powerful muscles based on its individual genetic makeup. In addition to targeted, well-dosed training, the horse should be supplied with sufficient substance-forming and functional nutrients.
Protein, amino and fatty acids
Above all, high-quality protein is required for the formation of muscle substance. In other words, the various amino acids as the building blocks of protein should be present in a proportion that is favourable for muscle building. The protein of the usual forage crops such as hay and grain is not optimal for this.
A feed concentrate for muscle building should therefore contain additional protein sources and amino acids to improve the overall protein levels. With a specially prepared brewer's yeast, spirulina algae, a fermentative malt yeast extract, sea algae and added L-lysine, Gold Medal contains such muscle substance builders with high bioavailability. In addition to the protein building blocks, fatty substances from grain germs and oil seeds also contribute to the natural structure of the hormones involved. The suppleness of the muscles also benefits from essential fatty acids from cold-pressed linseed oil.
Nutrients for the building metabolism
In order to properly assemble the building blocks for muscle building, the metabolism must have the tools it needs. These are specifically suitable enzymes, with the help of which the muscle fibres are built up, networked and linked with stabilising connective tissue fibres. The ability of the enzymes to work depends to a large extent on functional nutrients. These include the vitamins of the B complex and trace substances such as zinc, manganese, copper and silicon, which Gold Medal contains in balanced proportions. To optimise the function, the trace elements are mainly contained as organically bound complexes. The natural metabolic processes of the liver as the central metabolic organ are additionally supported by the active ingredients of milk thistle, turmeric and brewer's yeast.
Muscle building needs muscle protection
The metabolism runs at full speed during the advanced training and during sporting activities. This inevitably creates oxygen radicals that attack the muscle tissue and can partially break it down again. To protect the tissue, such radical substances are neutralised by the body's own enzyme systems. These in turn depend on the presence of trace elements such as zinc, copper, manganese and selenium. In addition to these micronutrients, Gold Medal also provides the horse with additional valuable ingredients such as algae, herbs, brewer's yeast, carrots and natural vitamin E.
All in all, Gold Medal is an effective combination of physiologically cooperating structural, functional and protective nutrients for the development of fully developed powerful muscles.
Feeding recommendation:
Approx. 40g per 100kg bodyweight and day to build up. Approx. 20g per 100kg of body weight are sufficient for subsequent feeding. This HorseCare concentrate should be offered mixed with everyday concentrated feed. Feed weaker horses with a small amount of feed.
