Description

Cracked, brittle or too soft hooves, insufficient hoof growth or decaying hooves can be caused by diet, the keeping or the ancestry of a horse. In any case, the quality of the hooves can be improved with the help of nutritional measures.

The horse is naturally able to produce B vitamins - including biotin - with the help of its intestinal bacteria. This requires a biologically intact intestinal flora, which in turn requires a natural, wholesome diet for the horse. Inadequate roughage quality and a grain-heavy diet, however, lead to massive digestive disorders in horses and endanger a sufficient formation of biotin via the intestinal flora. A deficiency situation arises, which ultimately shows itself in a brittle or poorly growing hoof horn.

The Biotin Hoof Mixture ...
... is a successful combination of biotin, vital substance-rich wheat sprouts, vitamins and trace elements, as well as selected herbs that support the healthy function of digestion and metabolism. Organically bound zinc, brewer's yeast, fermented grain, grain germs and linseed, sulfur-containing amino acids and black cumin seeds make the Biotin Hoof Mixture a particularly harmonious composition.
The particularly gentle pressing process enables Horse Care biotin to be offered in pellet form without any loss of effectiveness. Pellets are easier to administer compared to powdered biotin preparations.

Feeding recommendation:
Approx. 10 – 20g per day for large horses, adjust the amount accordingly for smaller horses.
