Prevent muscle loss when losing weight
Feeding is one of the 3 pillars of the Pavo InShape program. For healthy weight loss it is important that your horse loses weight (fat) but not lose any muscle. Since your horse should still exercise while it's losing weight, extra protein is necessary to help its muscles regenerate after exercise, reducing the change of muscle loss. That's why we humans drink a protein shake after a hard workout. Horses need protein and fibre after their workouts.

Pavo InShape: Optima Feed from the Pavo InShape range
Pavo InShape is a fully vitaminized feed with natural antioxidants. It was specially developed to optimally support horses while they are losing weight. The high protein content in Pavo InShape ensures that the muscles can regenerate quickly after a workout.

The feed also contains the essential amino acid methionine, which promotes burning fat. With Pavo InShape you also provide your horse with all the vitamins, minerals and trace elements it needs every day. The feed is grain-free and has a very low sugar, starch and energy content. When trying to lose weight, it is important that your horse doesn't eat too many calories. The low sugar and starch content helps your horse if it has a disturbed carbohydrate metabolism (often caused by obesity).

Feeding recommendation:

• In addition to enough fibre, feed your horse 150 g of Pavo InShape per 100 kg of body weight daily if you want to carry out the Pavo InShape program with your horse.
• For a pony (300 kg), feed 450 g per day, for a horse (600 kg) up to 900 g per day. If possible, divide the amount into several rations a day.
