Description
There are several things that can cause irritated gastric mucosa or gastric ulcers. For example, more than a 6-hour break in between feeds, high-concentrate and low-fibre rations, stall posture, stress or pressure increases on the stomach related to training can all be factors. Symptoms may appear through a change in appetite, a change in personality or a dull coat of hair.
This mineral supplement feed can help to neutralise and buffer excess stomach acid through a carefully composed combination of nutrients. This allows the gastric mucosa to regenerate and keeps it protected against new acid attacks. Mineral compounds such as magnesium oxide and dicalcium phosphate have a high acid neutralising potential. The flax seeds in the feed could promote of intestinal movement. Marshmallow also secretes a mucus during digestion, that attaches itself to the intestinal wall. To support the regeneration processes, ACID PROTECT is optimised with antioxidants. It is suitable for feeding foals.
