Description
Revital "Klinikum" prebiotic is a pellet-free horse muesli (whole grain) made from maize, barley, flaxseed, linseed, sunflower seeds and organic Jerusalem artichoke concentrate (containing inulin*), supplemented by an innovative formula and yeast cultures. The precisely dosed addition of the prebiotic Mühldorf organic Jerusalem artichoke concentrate can help maintain balanced intestinal flora.
The natural digestive function can be supported by the targeted addition of special components from flax processing, high-quality yeast cultures and the highly efficient organic Jerusalem artichoke concentrate (inulin-containing*).
Good acceptance, digestibility and, above all, the unique, innovative prebiotic formula make Revital “Klinikum” prebiotic a balanced basic feed in the sport and leisure sector, which can contribute to maintaining a healthy digestive function.
The most important properties
- Prebiotic and probiotic
- Supports metabolic processes in various digestive disorders such as hay belly/willow belly, faecal water, diarrhoea, after colic or poor feed conversion
- Can be used permanently as concentrated feed
- Very good salivation
- Based on an innovative recipe in cooperation with the veterinary clinic for horses in Munich-Riem (Dr. med. vet. Dietz Donandt and Dr. med. vet. Michael Zeitelhack)
Special feed structure with inulin
The special structure of the feed leads to very good salivation during the chewing process - the basis for the horse's stomach to protect itself naturally against the aggressive components of its own stomach acid. Composition and differentiated digestion of the grain guarantee an optimal and sustainable (period-based) energy supply. The resulting improved energy yield enables the concentration of feed to be reduced in favour of roughage (hay and straw) rich in active ingredients and fibres, which supports the digestive process overall and also helps to keep the intestinal flora in balance.
* Inulin (alant starch) is a polysaccharide (multiple sugar) that occurs naturally in higher concentrations in Jerusalem artichoke (Helianthus tuberosus). This prebiotic owes its effect to its molecular structure. As an indigestible carbohydrate, it has a special place within the group of dietary fibres. It represents a selective nutritional basis for individual types of intestinal bacteria and in this way can be used specifically to clean up the intestinal flora. This is how microorganisms accumulate in the large intestine, with a health-promoting influence on the host.
Feeding recommendation:
