Whole Grain D-Mix is a high-energy whole grain muesli characterised by the high amount of components that encourage digestion. It is made with energy sources like specially hydrothermally treated cereal flakes and is supplemented with molasses, brewer's yeast and minerals.
It's very important that the ratio of molasses to cereal flakes is balance. These two ingredients can only support digestion when they are well dosed.
The brewer's yeast included in the recipe is rich in B vitamins and supports the flora of the colon. It's important to make sure that the colon is healthy during times of high physical exertion (like during competition season), since the body's ability to synthesise B vitamins on its own decreases significantly when it experiences stress.
Whole Grain D-Mix can normal digestion and is a perfect supplementary feed for hay, straw or grass silage. The high energy content is appropriate for horses with medium or high energy needs, and is also good for older horses or horses who need a more energy-rich diet.
Feeding recommendation (per 100 kg body weight):
- For light work: 200 g
- For medium work: 400g
- For heavy work: 700g
- Daily hay ration: 1 - 1.5 kg
