Cell regeneration and cell protection often require a special nutrient supply. High-performance sport horses, seniors and horses going through a regeneration phase can be especially in need of supplementary feed.

The nutrient formula in Nr. 25 'Vogelfrei' combines glucosamine sulphate with turmeric, glutamine, carnitine, taurine, special B vitamins and grape seeds in a rosehip-lecithin mixture. The special composition can help support cell activation and the maintenance of cell structures.

• Taurine is an antioxidant that can help bind and eliminate biocides.
• Carnitine can influence energy metabolism as it serves as a transport molecule that carries fatty acids into the mitochondria.
• Glutamine belongs to the semi-essential amino acids and is the starting material for the synthesis of glutathione, which functions as an antioxidant in the tissue. Its conversion to gamma-amino-butyric acid (GABA) can reduce the accumulation of adipose tissue in the intestinal wall.
• Glucosamine sulphate is an essential building block for the regeneration of joint cartilage, tendons and ligaments and may help improve hoof and horn.
• Turmeric contains curcumin. This can inhibit the enzymes such as cyclooxygenase-2, lipoxygenase and NO synthase.

Feeding recommendation:
15 to 30g per day per horse (equivalent to 1 to 2 measuring spoons), ponies and small horses correspondingly less. For longer-term feeding, 15g per day per large horse is sufficient.

Feeding advice:
Due to the increased vitamin content, please do not feed more than 60g per horse per day.
