Description

No. 08/15 Grundstein - a basic natural feed

These pellets contain raw fibre and are made from structured, dried grass and gently dosed grain and oil components. They're perfect for upgrading your horse's daily oats. No. 08/15 Grundstein can also serve as a complete substitute for oats, especially for high-spirited horses. The feed is made without additives.

The feed contains 70% structured grass fibres instead of powdered grass, so the percentage of the pellets digested in the large intestine is guaranteed to be over 75%.

Details at a glance:

  • Suitable for basic fodder supply
  • Optimizes the concentrated feed ration
  • Can be used as an oat substitute
  • Contains crude fibre
  • Free of preservatives, sweeteners, and flavourings
  • Completely free of by-products
  • Not enriched with minerals and vitamins

The pellets are also highly valued for their easy digestibility and support a balanced and basic climate for the microorganisms living in the large intestine. The tasty recipe is rounded off with linseed.

Feeding recommendation:

  • Feeding amount: 0.5 to 7 kg per horse per day and per horse's needs
  • The feed should be supplemented with Dr. WEYRAUCH herbal specialities or other mineral feed.

Feeding examples:

Horse Types: Recommendations:
Sport horses with high performance needs
  • Can be combined with oats and No. 19
  • Due to the high fibre content, No. 08/15 Grundstein can be fed in larger quantities without hesitation (up to approx. 3 kg per meal)
  • Use to support strength and performance, without outbursts of temper
Horses that are light feeders and have metabolic problems
  • Combine a small quantity of No. 08/15 with dr. WEYRAUCH herbal specialities
  • Due to the high amount of crude fibre and low starch content, as well as a naturally low amount of sugar, the feed doesn't influence the blood sugar levels very much
  • Supports the pancreas
Heavy feeders & seniors ...
  • Can also be fed large quantities of No. 08/15, which is particularly gentle on the digestion
  • Due to the high fibre content, No. 08/15 can be fed in larger quantities without hesitation (up to approx. 3 kg per meal)
  • Ideal for horses that can only get a concentrated feed ration once a day (the inclusion of grain and plenty of crude fibre makes it easier to empty the stomach. The risk of faulty fermentation (for which starch and sugar are necessary, among other things) is low even with heavier feeding)
  • No. 08/15 can also be softened for older horses that have dental problems
Bad hay harvest
  • Low hay rations can be indirectly upgraded using the No. 08/15 for large horses that are regularly ridden
  • 7 kg of these pellets replaces the equivalent of: 5 kg of hay and 2 kg of grain. In the worst case scenario, No. 08/15 can be used as a complete feed!
