This easily digestible muesli was specially developed for older horses. Since metabolic activity slowly decreases as we age, care should be taken to ensure that older horses are always supplied with plenty of nutrients.
Senior Fit provides important vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Ideally, the feed should be softened with water so that it can be easily consumed by horses with dental problems.
Feeding recommendation per horse/day:
- For maintenance and a body weight of:
- 200 kg: 0.8-1.0 kg
- 400 kg: 1.0-1.5 kg
- 600 kg: 1.5-2.0 kg
- For light needs and a body weight of:
- 200 kg: 1.0-1.5 kg
- 400 kg: 1.5-2.0 kg
- 600 kg: 2.0-2.5 kg
- If your horse can graze in the summer, reduce the amount of concentrated feed accordingly.
- The amount your horse needs depends on the breed, the other types of feed the horse is eating as well as how much fibre they are getting.
- Make sure your horse has access to plenty of drinking water!
