The trace element copper is needed for supporting and connective tissue. Copper also acts as a radical scavenger and thus has positive effects on stress resistance and the immune system. Copper is also of central importance for nursing horses. In combination with the right basic care, growth delays and joint degeneration could be reduced using this supplement.
Derby copper consists of an organic copper compound that can be easily absorbed by the metabolism. It is suitable for all horses and ponies and can help to compensate for a lack of copper. The tasty basic recipe was enriched with brewer's yeast.
Feeding recommendation:
- (Daily data in grams/day as a supplement to non-vitaminized and mineralized rations with sufficient roughage to compensate for the copper requirement)
